What is a Map Clamp? Who are you? What can this do for me?

 

Why is it called a Map Clamp? (MAP) or Manifold Absolute Pressure is

essentially boost. The clamp phrase is because were attaching too it.

 

A Map Clamp fools the engine’s computer to think you are running less

boost than you actually are, thereby giving it less fuel during high boost,

which will lean or lower your mixture. Keeping you air fuel mixture in tune is the key to increased power and better fuel efficiency. It is essentially a cheap air fuel computer. Similar to a SAFC. But only has 1 adjustment.

 

Simply put a map clamp works! Not like the resistor chip mod you see all

over the web that promises some magical number.

 

What can you expect in HP gain? It varies depending on your modifications

and application. A stage 2 Srt-4 with simple mods its common to see 20ish

wheel HP gains. I have seen them used on Mazda MS3's, Dodge Srt-4 ...

And many more.. Basically if your increasing your boost and have a MAP

signal you can benefit. They are a must have for any Srt-4 wanting to hit

the magic 300+ whp number.

 

It seem like everyone on the web thinks all Map Clamps are the same..

 

Well i am here to tell you that just not true.. Sure they are all hand made,

but there is skill required to make them. Not just that, but higher grade of

components can be used and when bought in bulk allows you to get high

quality map clamp for a great price!

 

I get all my parts for an Electronics Manufacturer, so they are of the highest

grade. I use only the highest grade wire. Its a 22 Gauge Solid core, double

insulated, Industrial wire. So it resists fraying,melting or chaffing. I epoxy the components inside the black housing and hot glue where the wires coming out. All of this takes time and patience. We have made so many of these now, its almost an art. I was in the USAF For Satellite Communications and Electronics from 1994-1998. So I know quality.
